Engsolution has been engaged by the client to provide structural design and construction monitoring for an exciting three-storey architectural duplex townhouse project located on Potters Hill Drive, Queenstown, with construction anticipated to begin in early 2026.​

The site offers stunning views over Lake Wakatipu and is surrounded by snow-capped mountains. Positioned on a sloping section, we collaborated closely with the architect to develop cost-effective solutions for site cuts and the overall structural scheme. A 3D BIM model was implemented early in the design process to ensure all stakeholders were aligned on the project’s scope and methodology.

The structural design scope includes (but is not limited to):

  • Masonry block retaining walls

  • Masonry block intertenancy walls with associated footings

  • Perimeter ground beams

  • Rib and infill concrete floor systems for the first floor

  • Landscape retaining walls

This dynamic project is currently in the design phase.
